Thanks Thilina, I have no experience with neither Viber nor Skype. But I meant here is the thing we do with Google Maps. It allows us to send the location (where we are) by a dropped pin using SMS and the recipient can open it with Google maps where it shows the route the location of the sender.

This is a great feature since we can ask someone to come to a place which we are also not much familiar with.

This feature is primarily bind with mobile os . For android by default its google maps, for windows its here maps.( even android user send location to windows user and once recipient open location its open in here maps.) I dint found any specific app that allows to open location using custom map provider( like osm) may be its there.
